New Single and Tour Dates for Sonny and the Sunsets

Sonny and the Sunsets are offering their latest single, “Lovin’ on an Older Gal,” as free download. The track is off their newest LP, Tomorrow is Alright, which has been described as something akin to “furturistic 50’s R&B.

The San Francisco-based band has produced an album of songs reminiscent of 1950s doo wop, combined with sincerity and positive spirit topped with dark confessional humor. Tomorrow is Alright is currently available on vinyl from Soft Abuse Records. It was released digitally and on CD by Fat Possum Records on August 31st.

They will also be participating in Way Slow, a new series curated by Lefse Records. In addition to digital downloads, the label will be offering limited edition CDs, cassettes, and even vinyl in some cases. The physical products will be hand wrapped/sewn/carved individually for every release and presented as a heartwarming package of beautiful sound. Sonny and The Sunsets will release an installment in the Way Slow series sometime this fall.

Michelle Rick: I like Pop Rocks, and believe your life is incomplete if you've never seen Forrest Gump. I recently saw the Counting Crows live, for free, and it was not good. I was supposed to interview David Hasselhoff once but he never showed. And I love the band that was once Oasis.
