Director Chris Mills (Interpol, Modest Mouse, the Secret Machines) came to Metric with ideas for using “Collect Call” off their Fantasies album.This animated piece tells the story of a woman trapped in a dark dream in an alternate reality.
The short premiered at the Bravo! Shorts Under the Stars screening this past weekend in Toronto, where it was received with enthusiasm. Mills is known for his experimental style, which he describes as “Rumpled Country Art Doctor Antiques Lover Who Thinks Out of the Box Yet Imagines Vast Worlds Inside It.”
Metric will be touring North America with Muse starting this month. The dates can be seen below:
