Thursday, November 4 will kick off the 2nd annual New Noise Music Conference and Festival in Santa Barbara, California. Confirmed performers include Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, and Fitz & The Tantrums.
This three-day event goes far beyond the simplicity of listening to music, although dozens of local and international bands are scheduled to play throughout the weekend. In addition to live concerts, the festival will feature a multitude of prominent guest speakers such as Dr. Drew from “Celebrity Rehab”, Kevin Lyman, founder of the Warped Tour, Ian Rogers, CEO of Topspin Media, and Bob Becker, owner of Fearless Records. The conference aspect of the festival will allow for exchange of ideas and thoughts among professionals on the business of songwriting.
With the event categorized as nonprofit, the entire festival is enclosed around the idea of promoting and encouraging upcoming musicians and to further educate musicians about the industry.
