Counting Crows and Broken Lizard to Team Up for Live Show, and We’re Giving Away Tickets

Long-running California alternative rock outfit Counting Crows will be teaming up with Broken Lizard, the troupe behind classics such as Super Troopers and Beerfest, to bring the Los Angeles, CA area a unique night of comedy and music on October 1—and we’re giving away one pair of tickets.

Broken Lizard and Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz recently finished a movie together entitled Freeloaders, about a group of slacker friends who are kicked out of their rock star friend’s house and the hilarious events that happen as a result.

In order to properly celebrate this achievement, Counting Crows and Broken Lizard will be performing together and screening Freeloaders at the beautiful John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, CA on October 1 at 8:00 pm.  You can buy tickets here, but we’ll be holding a giveaway for one pair of tickets this coming Monday.

So here’s how to enter the contest:

  1. Follow our Twitter profile, @mxdwn.
  2. Check this space and our Twitter account on Monday at September 27th at 3:00 p.m. We will be posting up a trivia question, and the first person to tweet at us the correct answer with @mxdwn and @countingcrows will win the tickets. You must be a mxdwn follower to be included in the contest.

Question is: In the movie Super Troopers, when they play the “Cat Game,” how many times is “Meow” said? HINT: We’re going by the fingers on Mac’s hands.
