Alongside conventional country acts like Lucinda Williams and Reba McEntire, rockers The White Stripes will appear on the November 9th release of Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn.
The band, along with Kid Rock, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill and a number of other artists, will contribute an as-yet-unannounced song to the Lynn tribute album. Fans’ money is on “Rated X,” which the duo has covered in concert and released as a b-side to “Hotel Yorba” in 2001. Jack White also produced Loretta Lynn’s 2004 album Van Lear Rose.
