Paste Magazine Shuts Their Doors

Today Paste Media Group has announced they have suspended print publication.  Read more after the jump.

Due to growing debts, Paste Magazine, an independent music magazine that also featured films and books, has officially announced its hiatus due to the prolonged downfall of the ad market. After its debts were made public last year, readers and artists alike responded with generosity in the form of donations, but this was to no avail.

Paste Magazine was listed #21 in the Chicago Tribune’s 50 Best Magazines in 2005, and made another appearance in 2007.  Paste was also famous for using the “Raidiohead Experiment”, where they allowed new and current subscribers  choose what they payed for their subscription.
