Liars Announce New EP, Tour Dates

The Liars will be releasing new EP October 19 via Mute Records entitled Proud Evolution.  The PE will feature a Thom Yorke remix and three new B-sides. The band will also be embarking on a short Canadian tour in late September. More info after the jump.

The band released the following statement regarding the upcoming EP:

A triumphant processional piano part is hijacked by something more lurid and tempting. The clicking and gurgling of what’s kicking. Soon a large rolling mass of bass displaces the equilibrium and redirects it into a groove. The tempting wave reminds you that misplaced confidence can be frightening.”

The tracks include a live remix by Thom Yorke and the B-sides “Come Now,” Total Frown” and “Strangers.”  The full track listing is as follows:

Proud Evolution (Album Version)
Proud Evolution (Thom Yorke remix)
Proud Evolution (Live From Williamsburg)
Come Now
Total Frown
Strangers

9/29 – Toronto, ON –  Lee’s Palace
9/30 – Le National – Pop Montreal (Headline)
10/1 – Ottawa – ON – Ritual
10/2 – Hamilton,  ON – This Aint Hollywood
