Several months back, Antony and the Johnsons announced the upcoming release of the band’s new LP Swanlights. Now, two months out from its release, more info is out on the album – including a sneak preview at some images from a special edition of the album featuring a 144-page book.Swanlights, the band’s fourth album, will be released on October 12th on Secretly Canadian. The label will also release the CD as part of a special edition, 144-page hard cover book featuring Antony’s paintings, drawings, collages, photography and writing.
A press release describes Swanlights as the band’s “most wide-rangingly emotional work to date…that is at moments heartbreakingly tender and at other times has a joyful gleam to its teeth.” As previously reported, the album will also feature duet with Bjork on “Flétta.”
