How do you go bigger at the biggest music festival in the world? Bring big friends. That’s just what Muse, Scissor Sisters and Gorillaz did to make their 2010 Glastonbury appearances spectacles that will be remembered.
Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, on the other hand, made just as big a splash simply by showing up on the afternoon of Friday, June 25 to play a surprise set on the Park Stage.
Gorillaz, filling in for U2 and the injured Bono, kept the party going on Friday night at the Pyramid Stage, accompanied by collaborators Shaun Ryder, Mark E Smith, Lou Reed and Snoop Dogg.
Dance -pop masters Scissor Sisters invited Kylie Minogue to their set on Saturday at the Pyramid Stage to perform “Any Which Way.”
In the end, Muse brought in the biggest bud, inviting The Edge to their cover of U2’s “Where the Streets Have No Names.”
