Alternative rock gods The Smashing Pumpkins have announced they have a new bassist – Nicole Fiorentino.
Fiorentino has played in a number of other bands, including Veruca Salt, Spinerette, Radio Vago, Twilight Sleep and Light FM. Light FM played with the Corgan-led Backwards Clock Society at benefit concert last November. The bassist has joined the group just in time for the previously announced world tour, which includes two stops in Japan, and will work on the Pumpkins’ ongoing 44-song project Teargarden By Keleidyscopy.
