Sydney, Australia’s hard rock outfit Wolfmother announced on Thursday that drummer Dave Atkins has left the group. In addition to announcing Atkins’ departure, the band revealed his tour replacement, Will Rockwell-Scott, of Har Mar Superstar and Mooney Sukuzi.
The band issued a release on their website addressing Atkins’ exit, saying that “after two years of good service to Wolfmother, Dave Atkins has decided to leave the band to spend much-needed time at home with his family.” The statement went on to say that there was no ill will between Atkins and the rest of the band.
Wolfmother will be touring in support of their latest release, Cosmic Egg, through July.
