Minneapolis indie rockers Tapes ‘n Tapes frontman Josh Grier has just announced that the band has finished recording the follow-up to their 2006 album, The Loon. After working with producer David Fridmann, the band has decided to produce their own material for the first time in 5 years.
“This time the production process was more natural,” Grier said. “It was great, we went for like two weeks and tried to get everything done,” he added. Grier also revealed that “Ba Da Boom” and “SWM (Single White Male)” are the titles of tracks set to appear on the as-yet-untitled album. The album is currently in the mixing process and is expected to be released this summer.
