About two hours ago, Amanda Palmer announced via Twitter that she has parted ways with Roadrunner Records. According to blog post she made today going into more detail, Palmer has been fighting to with the label for over two years to be released from her contract. Palmer’s Twitter said the following:
FREEEE AT LAAAST!!! after 2 long years of legal battle, i’ve been released from the label.
In celebration of her contract being broken, Palmer has released a song free for download entitled “Do You Swear To Tell The Truth The Whole Truth And Nothing But The Truth So Help Your Black Ass” (an explanation of the title can be found here).
