Evanescence’s Amy Lee sat down with Billboard.com to discuss the band’s new album, which they began recording a few weeks ago in New York, and their plans for a summer tour. Lee spoke of the recording process by saying, “I feel like so much has already happened. I don’t even know where to begin to try to describe it. It’s just so many things at once. I’m really excited.” Lee began writing for the as-yet-untitled project last year, which is due for a fall release, with percussionist and producer Will “Science” Hunt.
Lee also spoke of the sound of the new LP by stating, ” its a lot of electronic influence — industrial is a better word for it, Lee will also incorporate the harp, which she learned to play between albums, and expects the first single out this summer with a US tour to follow.
