No Fun Fest Canceled for 2010

Carlos Giffoni, Production Director of New York’s No Fun Fest, announced Friday that there are no plans for 2010 No Fun Fest.  Giffoni said in a statement posted on the NFF site that the reasons for the hiatus are personal, saying that he wants to focus on other projects this year.

NFF began in 2004 and is based out of Brooklyn, NY.  Traditionally a high-profile event, NFF usually features bands such as Sonic Youth, Cold Cave and Bardo Pond.

“I feel is the right time for me to work and concentrate on other projects for a bit, my own music under my name and the new no fun acid project as well as collaborations with others,” he said via the festival’s site.

There are currently no plans to cancel any future events.
