Mike Patton‘s Mondo Cane is said to be unlike any of his other projects – the Italian language release will be paying homage to several other songwriters. For example, the album will include tracks such as “Urlo Negro”, a late 60’s song about the Civil Rights struggle, and “Senza Fine”, made famous by Connie Francis. Patton says, “My purpose in revisiting these pieces is not to relive the past, not for nostalgia, but more to illustrate through modern and adventurous interpretation exactly how vital and important this music still is.”
