The Kirkwood Brothers look a little older, but certainly not worse for the wear as they stunned the crowd with a tight, jammy set from their dense catalog of cactus rock. Armed with an acoustic and a pedal board full of soundscapes, Curt Kirkwood led his brother Chris on bass, and Austin based drummer Shannon Song through a spirited romp of classics like Touchdown King and Up On the Sun, wowing the audience with their floaty tumblewood jams. If the desert ever needs repainting, the Meat Puppets wied the brushes, with songs as epic as they are small.
