Setting up for the secret/not-so-secret performance by Muse was the dream pop of Metric. Playing mostly material from their most recent album Plug In Plus Out, Emily Haines and company failed to connect with the packed house at Stubb’s. While their performance was solid, they were lacking a certain energy and fire. It was good, but not great. And when the crowd knows Muse is coming up, good isn’t going to be enough.
