“How many of you want to motherfucking dance? Let me see you shake that ass!” quipped Karnivool’s lead singer at the beginning of the Full Metal Texas. Hailing from Australia, the five-piece band is a melodic form of metal perhaps most appropriately suited for fans of Tool. While not quite as progressive and long-formed as Tool’s music, the band’s clean, audible vocals will please those who like heavy music without the dry-lung roar.
