Tobacco – Emo’s Annex/IODA Opening Day Bash

Tobacco (known primarily for being a part of Black Moth Super Rainbow) played an excellent set of noisy electronics and chill syncopated beats. With two support members–one woman on his right playing keyboards, the other a curiously masked man, sitting cross-legged with a laptop on his left–Tobacco sang entirely through a vocoder effect and dropped hard rock riffs appropriately. In a rare (and pleasant) deployment, Tobacco’s tunes were equally danceable and experimental.
