Candian Celtic punks The Real McKenzies announced plans Friday for the release of an upcoming live acoustic album entitled Shine Not Burn. Recorded in 2009 at Wild at Heart in Kreuzberg, Germany, the new album reportedly features “acoustic guitars, penny whistles, 3-piece drums sets and upright basses, to drop the amplitude and try something new” according to a press release. There is no current release date for the album, though more information is expected to be released soon.
According to Punk News, a large portion of the recorded material on the album will also be present on the band’s upcoming DVD The Real McKenzies Love You, which will be released in April.
