Eric Avery Leaves Jane’s Addiction

Tweeted at 4:00 a.m. PST time on March 1, Eric Avery announed that he is leaving Jane’s Addiction.

thats it. with equal parts regret and relief, the janes addiction experiment is at an end.

With no official word from Dave Navarro, Perry Farrell, Stephen Perkins, or the band, rumors say that Duff McKagan (Velet Revolver, Guns N’ Roses) is currently filling in as the band’s bassist.

Jane’s Addiction last performance with Eric Avery at the Soundwave Festival in Australia:

Avery left the band in 1991 and rejoined in 2008.
