Late last week, Slayer announced that their bassist Tom Araya will be undergoing back surgery. Although the remaining American and Canadian tour dates were forced to be canceled, Slayer’s spokesperson has confirmed that Araya’s back surgery will not affect their European Big Four tour dates with Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax – “Oh, yes, the Big Four dates will happen – Tom will need about three months recovery time so that won’t be a problem. Hope to be able to announce the rescheduled dates in a week or two.”
