Photos: Silversun Pickups, The Dandy Warhols and Matt & Kim, Gibson Amphitheater, Los Angeles, CA. November 3rd 2009.

LA Weekly’s first LA 101 event was held at the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal Studios. Performances by local band Dengue Fever, Matt & Kim and Oregon veterans The Dandy Warhols were followed by a homecoming gig for Los Angeles favorites the Silversun Pickups, playing their first LA concert in a long time.

marv watson: Marv is a freelance photographer and photo editor, from the north of England. Graduating from Teeside University with a Masters in Sport Science, he travelled the world for a number of years before settling in Los Angeles, where he now resides. He shoots portraits, sports and music. He loves his wife, daughter, rabbits, beer and pizza, and detests hipsters, instagram celebrities and popular music.
