Alkaline Trio Create Heart & Skull Label

After six full-length albums, Alkaline Trio has decided to create Heart & Skull, their very own label in partnership with Epitaph Records and inspired by the band’s logo.  With their own label in the works, the band will be releasing a new album in early 2010.  Matt Skiba (guitar, vocals) has mentioned in interviews that although this upcoming release will be a rock album, it will focus more on their punk roots than Agony & Irony or Crimson (their latest albums).  All three group members, Skiba, Dan Andriano (bass, vocals), and Derek Grant (drums, backing vocals), are partners in Heart & Skull.
