Nirvana’s Bleach Given Re-issue Treatment

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since Nirvana’s debut. Some people are probably realizing they’re a lot older now. However, the fine folks at Sub Pop will give Bleach the re-issue treatment complete with an unreleased live performance from 1990 and release it on November 3.

Initially selling 40,000 copies and gaining some spotlight on the coattails of its 1991 follow-up Nevermind, the special edition will be available as a double-CD or double-LP. The first run of the double-LP special edition will be on 180g white vinyl as a nod to how Bleach originally entered the world 20 years ago. The unreleased live show included is from a performance at the Pine Street Theater in Portland, Oregon and features “About A Girl,” “Love Buzz,” “Been A Son,” “Blew” and a cover of The Vaselines’ “Molly’s Lips.” Both double-CD and double-LP versions of the special edition will be made available for pre-order leading up to its release via Sub Pop.
