Under the name El Bronx, L.A. hardcore group The Bronx are gearing up to release new album on August 25. True to mariachi tradition, the new album features horns, acoustic guitars and the help of someone of actual Mexican descent, Vincent Hidalgo (son of Los Lobos‘ David Hidalgo) on guitarrón. The band will also be dressed in full Charro attire! Listen to the first single off the album, “Quinceañera”, at SPIN and check out this video of a live performance of The Bronx as El Bronx. A full tour featuring their mariachi alter ego can be expected.
