The recession still continues to affect the media, and Paste Magazine is its current victim. Paste editors have sent out a letter asking subscribers, fans, and associates for donations to save the magazine. In the “Campaign to Save Paste” letter, the editors stated they have cut cost and have developed an online business they feel is the best in the industry. In addition, the editors explained, “We’ll make it through this short-term economic crisis—but it’s only with your help. If $1 came in from everyone on our e-mail lists, we’ll reach our goal and emerge from this recession as a stronger magazine and website.”
Over 70 artists such as, Indigo Girls, Cowboy Junkies and Josh Ritter have donated to the Save Paste Magazine Campaign. Donations can be made at www.pastemagazine.com.
