Coachella 2009 – The Bloody Beetroots

Even though The Bloody Beetroots set was billed on the schedule as a DJ set, their music showed no evidence of it. Wearing black ninja-esque masks, the duo bombed out bass-ridden beats following a screaming introduction by Dim Mak’s Steve Aoki. The Bloody Beetroots excellence was purely in their sound choices, favoring simplified explosions of dance-inducing beats, to over-layered monotony.
