OTEP Sign with Victory, Prep New Album

OTEP has signed with Victory Records and are preparing their new album Smash the Control Machnie for an August 18 2009 release. Of the new OTEP/Victory alliance, Otep Shamaya said “this is exactly the kind of circumstance I have been waiting for. I believe my creative, intellectual and political instincts and inclinations will flourish”. The new album borrows its title from a William S. Burrough’s poem, and focuses on a number of topical issues such as the economic crisis and the American working family.
