Jack White Starts a New Supergroup: The Dead Weather

Music executive, Jack White is a busy man these days. White has decided to start a new group entitled, The Dead Weather. The Dead Weather’s group members consists of Allison Mossheart of The Kills supplying the vocals, The Raconteurs’ Jack Lawrence on bass, QOTSA member Dean Fertita on bass, and White on drums and vocals. The group made their first public appearance in Downtown Nashville at the opening of White’s new building for his label, Third Man Records.
At the opening of White’s new imprint, The Dead Weather performed material from the forthcoming album Horehound. Around 150 fans, family, and friends attended the grand opening event and received a limited edition 7″ vinyl pressing of The Dead Weather’s debut single, “Hang you from the Heavens” and a cover of Gary Numan’s, “Are Friends Electric?” Downloads of these two songs are now available exclusively through iTunes. Horehound is produced by White and will be released on his Third Man Records imprint sometime in June.
