For their fans, The Jesus Lizard may be the greatest live band ever. Naturally, there’s some excitement that the band will be reuniting for some shows in 2009. They’re currently slated to appear at ATP: The Fans Strike Back festival from May 8-10 in England as well as a show on the 11th at the forum in London. More dates are to be confirmed.
Also from the Lizard, INCH, a box set of their 7″ singles will hit stores for one day only in commemoration of Record Store Day (April 18). The set features the long out of print singles that some have deemed impossible to find like “Gladiator,” which was originally given away exclusively at a Jesus Lizard show at the Brixton Academy. The set also includes the bands half of a split single with Nirvana, “Puss.”
