Another Stroke Drops Wax

The Strokes have not worked together on a record since 2006’s First Impressions of Earth, but on their own each member, save Julian Casablancas, has put together a record on his own or with a new band.

The latest member to venture out on his own is bassist Nikolai Fraiture. He plans a January 27, 2009 launch of his own project, Nickel Eye. The debut record, The Time of the Assassins will be distributed by Rykodisc.
