Since the split of Rage Against the Machine in 2000, Zack De La Rocha probably had the wildest trip of the four members prior to their reformation and Coachella performance. He stepped into the studio with the likes of Trent Reznor, DJ Shadow and The Roots’ rhythm sticks man ?uestlove. However, none of that material will be on De La Rocha’s first release of solo material. This five-song EP sees De La Rocha join forces with Jon Theodore of The Mars Volta as One Day As A Lion.
The EP is self-titled and, according to the band, “It’s a sonic reflection of the visceral tension between a picturesque fabricated cultural landscape, and the brutal socioeconomic realities it attempts to mask.”
