Metal wonderboys Mastodon are roughly 5 songs into their follow-up to 2006’s highly acclaimed Blood Mountain. They’re in the midst of recording the album in Atlanta with Brendan O’Brien producing and, according to drummber Brann Dailor, “Everything sounds real creepy and spaced out and different. There are little cool things we’re going to do to the record that we’ve been wanting to do for a long time.”
