Daft Punk has been one of the most talked-about artists of the last 2 years. The surprising thing is that it wasn’t for an album. While their epochal Coachella performance resulted in Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo taking their pyramid show on the road, it was the tour that inspired their hugely successful Alive 2007 album.
Now, according to former manager Pedro Winter, “The boys are in a studio in Paris at the moment and I can’t wait to listen to their new stuff.” While claiming that the best thing is that they’re making music, he also explained that he stepped down as their manager in order to focus on his label, Ed Banger Records (home to Justice) and his own career as Busy P.
There is no title for the follow-up to 2005’s Human After All and no release date.http://www.gigwise.com/news/43497/daft-punk-recording-new-studio-album
