Calling on the talents of actors, authors, chefs, athletes, directors, tech entrepreneurs and others, KCRW’s Guest DJ Project, available at kcrw.com/guestdjproject, explores the passions and creative processes of notables sharing their stories and musical selections. Guests range from late night host Conan O’Brien to DIGG founder Kevin Rose to comic artist Tim Sale and many more. The 10-minute segments include candid conversations between the guests and KCRW DJs that yield how profound and moving people’s experience with music can be. While some of the fave selections have been The Clash, Elvis Costello and The Beatles, guests have leaned into KCRW’s library and personal iTunes libraries for results as diverse as a national anthem to Steel Pulse, Eric Satie and the Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
