Sidewalk Sets with The Kooks

The Kooks are beginning their largest North American tour to date on Sunday, May 18th, as previously reported. With their debut at #1 on the UK charts with their latest album Konk, released on 4/15/08, the band will start the tour with a series of sidewalk sets in Los Angeles after their first show in San Diego. Following the San Diego show and a sold-out date at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, the band will be playing acoustic sets to both fans and passer-bys on Tuesday, May 20th, at undisclosed locations throughout L.A. The day will end with a small acoustic show in the Kibitz Room at Canter’s Deli (419 North Fairfax Avenue). Before heading off to Canada on May 24th, The Kooks will also have a special outdoor performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday, May 21st on ABC at 9pm PST/12am EST. The tour also includes another television performance on Fuel TV’s “The Daily Habit” on Monday June 2nd, at 6pm PST/9pm EST and again at 9pm PST/12am EST.
