Wu-Tang Clan founding member and uber-producer The RZA along with System of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian, Kinetic 9 and up-and-comer Reverend William Burke have formed a musical voltron under the guise of Achozen. Armed with a mix of live instrumentation and beats made by Shavo and The RZA and rhymes provided by Kinetic 9 and the Reverend, Achozen looks to bring forth a heavier brand of hip-hop under the mantra, “Many shall come, only a few shall be Achozen.”
Their self-titled debut album has already reached the mixing stages with the first track “Deuces” set to be released April 22 at urSession.com. The album also boasts an impressive guest list including the likes of funk legend George Clinton, Chili-Pepper axeman John Frusciante, the genius that is The GZA, Wu-Tang affiliate Killah Priest and Angolin rapper Leggezin Fin.
