Bob Marley Biopic in the Works

Film producers Bob and Harvey Weinstein have optioned the rights to Rita Marley’s memoir, “No Woman No Cry: My Life With Bob Marley,” to make the first ever biopic about the iconic wailer. Marley’s widow will also serve as executive producer on the project, with Rudy Langlais and Lizzie Borden tapped to write and direct, respectively. Rita Marley told Variety that she would like Lauryn Hill to portray her.
