My Bloody Valentine Will Go Digital

Shoegazer legends My Bloody Valentine have announced that, a la Radiohead, they too will release their long-awaited follow-up to Loveless.

According to their manger, Vinita Joshi in London, “At the moment, all I can say is that Kevin is getting the band back together and they will go into the studio next month to work on the new record. The plan is that they will release the album themselves via the Internet, but there will also probably be a vinyl release.”

The ongoing Coachella rumors haven’t been given any creedence by Joshi either. “If the band had been booked to play any summer festivals, I’d know about it,” Joshi says. “We’ll see how the summer shows go first.” However, My Bloody Valentine will be performing shows in the UK as previously reported. It has beeb confirmed that the four members of the band’s classic lineup – Kevin Shields, Belinda Butcher, Colm O’Ciosoig and Debbie Googe – are involved in the reunion.http://billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003677207&imw=Y
