Year Zero Sequel

Trent Reznor is ready to move forward on the follow-up to Year Zero. Due to contractual reasons, he couldn’t do this until his contract with Interscope was finished. However, he will not decide how to release his music until it’s finished. The same goes for marketing and promotion.

Though Reznor and NIN are free agents, Interscope isn’t resting on their laurels. Y34RZ3R0R3MIX3D, a remix of Nine Inch Nails’ Year Zero will hit shelves via Interscope on November 20. The release features remixes from the likes of Ladytron, The Faint, Fennesz and others.

Interscope also holds the rights to release a greatest hits compilation, but it’s unknown if and when that’ll happen. Uncertainty also looms over any future archival releases of Nine Inch Nails material recorded during the band’s tenure at Interscope.http://www.metalunderground.com/news/details.cfm?newsid=29458
