Songstress Chan Marshall, better known as Cat Power, has settled on a Jan. 22 release date for Covers II, her second Matador album of material popularized by other artists. This album follows 2000’s The Covers Album, which featured her interpretations of songs by the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Moby Grape and the Velvet Underground. The track list for the new project has yet to be confirmed. The new album will be the follow-up to last year’s The Greatest, which won the 2007 Shortlist prize for creative achievement.http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003648640
