New Mates of State in the Works

Indie-pop act Mates of State are currently working on the follow-up to 2006’s Bring it Back. The husband and wife duo of Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel claim to be eight songs into the writing process and are aiming for an early 2008 release date. They will be aided and abetted by producers Chris Walla, Jim Eno, and Peter Katis of Death Cab, Spoon, and Interpol fame, respectively.
