The Swerve Festival is set to take place September 28-30 and will spread out over three locations in LA’s Sliver Lake neighbourhood: Barnsdall Art Park; the Vista Theatre and the Echoplex. We Are Scientists, Bonde Do Role, Illinois, Foreign Born and DeVotchKa are among the bands set to perform at the inaugural festival. In addition, Control — Anton Corbijn’s highly anticipated biopic about Joy Division’s Ian Curtis — will make its Los Angeles premiere at the festival. The Swerve Festival is sponsored by ASCAP and FUEL TV, and celebrates West Coast creative culture inspired by art, film, music and action sports.
