Richard “Richie Ramone” Reinhardt, filed a federal lawsuit September 21 claiming he is owed $900,000 in royalties for songs sold over the Internet. Reinhardt performed with the Ramones between 1983 and 1987 and claims he had never fully signed over the rights to the six songs he wrote for the group. The songs are “Smash You,” “Somebody Put Something in My Drink,” “Human Kind,” “I’m Not Jesus,” “I Know Better Now” and “(You) Can’t Say Something Nice.” The suit is against Wal-Mart, Apple, RealNetworks, the band’s management and the estate of late guitarist Johnny Ramone.http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003645126
