The Klaxons took home the Nationwide Mercury Music Prize this week for their debut album Myths of the Near Future. They beat out favorite Bat for Lashes and Amy Winehouse as well as last years winners, Arctic Monkeys. “Mercury is about pushing music forward and that’s what we’ve done,” band member Jamie Reynolds said at the awards ceremony, “It’s great that people have recognized that.”
