Universal is making changes. They’re in the final stages of purchasing V2 – the home of Bloc Party, Aimee Mann, The Stereophonics and more – and joining the DRM-free legion of online music retail. Starting August 21, UMD will begin testing unrestricted music sales via Rhapsody, Pure Music, Amazon.com, Best Buy and Walmart. There will be no price changes for DRM-free tracks and they’ll be available until January 2008. No plans have been announced beyond that.http://www.antimusic.com/news/07/aug/1311.shtml
