Univeral Aquires V2, Loses DRM

Universal is making changes. They’re in the final stages of purchasing V2 – the home of Bloc Party, Aimee Mann, The Stereophonics and more – and joining the DRM-free legion of online music retail. Starting August 21, UMD will begin testing unrestricted music sales via Rhapsody, Pure Music, Amazon.com, Best Buy and Walmart.
