A month after the US release of the critically acclaimed Datarock Datarock and a sold out headline club tour, Norwegian duo Datarock will join the Kaiser Chiefs on an 8-city trek, beginning Tuesday, September 19th in Dallas and ending in New York City on Saturday, September 29th.
With their matching red tracksuits and vintage Porsche wraparound sunglasses, Datarock are as visually arousing as they are sonically booty shaking, but there is more going than meets the eye (or the bum). As Jon Parales wrote in his New York Times live review, “Backed by the musical ingenuity it took to construct all those hooks, funk vamps and choruses — and to push people onto the dance floor — the songs still confessed to heartache, frustration and confusion … Datarock’s ears are in the past, while its mind… is fully in the present.”
Datarock Datarock was released by Nettwerk Music Group on June 12th and immediately caught the attention of nerds and cool kids alike.
