Numerous music legends have teamed their talents for Goin’ Home: A Tribute to Fats Domino. The upcoming charity tribute double-disc is due September 25th via Vanguard. Proceeds will be donated to New Orleans public school music programs and to rebuilding Domino’s Hurricane Katrina-ravaged home.
Domino, 79, donated a portion of proceeds from his last album, 2006’s Alive and Kickin’, to New Orleans musician non-profit Tipitina’s Foundation. Organizers at Tipitina’s, in turn, organized “Goin’ Home” in his honor.
